‘Olive Us’ Sisters Recounting

March 8: Sarah Wood (Kickoff Message) “Rest, Recount, & Remember”

Sarah gets our hearts and minds ready with a message about the Year of Jubilee. From Genesis to Leviticus and back again, we take a look at the 7th day of creation and the 7 Festivals. Sarah invites us to remember what God has said and modeled through the pages of scripture.

March 11: Amy Rickert “Overwhelmed, Underqualified, & in God’s Hands”

“During a recent scary diagnosis, God showed His goodness, love, and care in so many big and small ways. He reminded me that even if I feel unprepared and underqualified for my assignment, He has prepared the way and knit every small detail together. I’m reminded constantly through the retelling of this story that God is good, He is faithful, and He is prepared to fill the gaps in our lack.”

March 12: Colby Adolph “Fully Relying on God”

"After being sick for three months with a mysterious cough that rattled my body through the night, I learned what it meant to be fully and completely reliant on God. When God healed my body I emerged with a new fervor for doing God’s work. I look forward to seeing what assignments He has for me next."

March 13: Natalie Dicocco “Surrendering to God’s Will”

"I was craving community, deeper relationships, and knowing how to navigate dating as a 30-something Christian in San Francisco. When I fully leaned in, let go of control of my path & sought help: God made moves. He continually moves within me and I have fully surrendered to His will. This has freed my heart to grow and love my community & Him."

March 14: Sareen Li “Weary to Worthy of Rest”

"I felt like I was yoked to Christ, but I still felt weary and burdened. God started teaching me how to say “No” to things not for me and revealed so much grace for me as I walked into the things I felt he wanted me to say “Yes” to. Through this grace, I am learning to receive God’s lavish love for me that I don’t always feel worthy to receive."

March 15: Eileen Patrona “He’s Always Been There”

March 15: Kari Minter “From Forgiveness to Reconciliation”

"Three years ago, my voice was taken from me as I walked through some unfair and untrue accusations that resulted in the loss of my community and my ministry. God kept reminding me of his command in Scripture to forgive others as he has forgiven me, and so for three years, I begged him to enable me to forgive and to remove the anger and bitterness in my heart. Six months ago, he orchestrated a beautiful reconciliation between me and those involved and I learned the power and kindness of God to hear me and to bring about the events needed to free me from the anger I was so desperately trying to release. Now I can look back and be reminded that God does hear me and he is working in my life, as I let him. The transformation isn’t up to me. It’s up to God. I can now depend on him and trust that he will change me in his timing, and I don’t have to stress or worry."
